Licklog's Lobby

It happened a few weeks ago, so you might have already noticed, but in case you haven't...
The lobby in the Peacock Playhouse is much brighter! All thanks to a new coat of paint of course. Replacing the brown of the original wooden panel walls, the paint gives a whole new feel to the home of the Licklog Players.

Popcorn for women only...

Alright, so it's not technically in Clay County, but Fieldstone Cinemas Six is the closest movie theater you'll find. Therefore, it's news to us that the theater has installed an all-new second concessions stand... Right next to the women's restroom. We're not sure whether there's any advantage to ordering overpriced movie snacks at the new stand versus the old one, but we're just biding our time until the men speak up for closer concessions as well.

Copper Coffee

The coffee shop at the Copper Door has been transformed into additional private dining space for the fanciest restaurant in Hayesville. The staff of the Copper Door say that they still make and provide the drinks at request, but that the management is hoping to open up a new coffee shop on the square to replace the lost space.

You don't have to read to find where to read.

There are a few new signs in Clay County pointing newcomers to the library. The signs, featuring a man holding a book, are meant to be understood by anyone, regardless of language, although the majority of the books and periodicals available at the library are in English.

To further the irony, the new signs meant to promote reading don't have a single word on them.

Walking into trouble

The sidewalks around the Hayesville town square are being renovated, but not without a few false steps, as shown above. The new sidewalks are a combination of brick and concrete.
